HISTORY

Falcon Racing LLC. was founded in 1979 by former NASCAR driver Mike Swaim, Sr. Falcon Racing LLC. got its start in the late model Sportsman Series with drivers Phil Parsons and Bobby Labonte. Owner Mike Swaim took that driver's seat in 1982 in the Goody's Dash Series where he was the National Champion in 1984 and 1985. Swaim then moved to the Busch Grand National Series in the late 1980's where he won the pole at Daytona in 1988. In the early 1990's Steve Grissom, Ward Burton, Morgan Shepherd and Troy Beebe took the wheel for Falcon Racing in the Busch Grand National Series with Texas Pete and Taco Bell as sponsors.

Not only is there a winning tradition at Falcon Racing there is also a family tradition. Swaim's son Mike, Jr. took the wheel in 1995 in the Goody's Dash Series. In 1996, at age 19, he became the youngest driver to ever win a pole at Daytona International Speedway. Spring Air Mattress was his sponsor. He was the Goody's Dash series National Champion in 1997. Mike, Jr. handled the driving duties for Falcon Racing on the ARCA circuit until 2002 when his brother Travis took over in the Late Model Stock Series. Travis has won back to back Caraway Speedway NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Championships in 2004 and 2005.

In the 2006 season Falcon Racing fields three cars in the Late Model Stock Division with drivers Mike Swaim, Jr., and Travis Swaim. The team is growing in size and desire to further the winning tradition. New opportunities are the always being considered and thoughfully planned. The traditions of Falcon Racing just keep getting stronger.
